Established in 1986 Indoor Sports South Australia Inc (ISSA INC) is the governing body for Indoor Sports in South Australia . Indoor Netball South Australia is responsible for indoor netball as a sub committee of ISSA Inc. The SA Netball Committee (2005) is responsible for the selection of State Teams and officials to participate at National Indoor Netball Championships. When representing South Australia , Indoor Netball teams and officials travel as the ‘SA CROWNS'.

Indoor netball is played in nets on concrete courts covered in carpet. All nets act as a surround, therefore the ball is always in play. Indoor Netball is played using basic netball rules with small variations to allow for the nets.

Indoor netball is a fast paced and exciting game suitable for all ages and abilities. From junior and senior social players to Superleague, National and International Tournaments there is a level of indoor netball to be enjoyed by all and best of all – you never get rained on!

Indoor netball social competitions run all year round, with continuous seasons consisting of a sixteen week minor round, semi-finals and Grand-finals leading immediately into a new season. Indoor netball is a great way to get fit and play sport in a friendly, safe environment at one of 5 locations across Adelaide – Morphett Vale, Camden Beach , Stepney, Windsor Gardens and Modbury. Contact an arena near you for more information and to nominate a team or as an individual today.

SUPERLEAGUE

ISSA Inc conducts an annual competition between the 4 member arenas known as SUPERLEAGUE. The Superleague season runs from May to September and consists of a ‘home and away' series and finals. Superleague is a club competition and since its conception in 1988 a healthy rivalry has developed between clubs. Member clubs play in their club colours and are known as the:

MORPHETT VALE SHARKS

STEPNEY SAINTS

WINDSOR STORM
(under new management)

ALBERT PARK STINGERS
(under new management)

Superleague is played on Saturday afternoon and each club is represented in Netball, Cricket and 8-Ball. There are 8 grades entered by each club for Netball, being:

Mixed Under 21
Mixed Over 30
Mixed C
Ladies B
Mixed B
Mens
Mixed A
Ladies A

Each season concludes with a Presentation Function, which is a great way to celebrate the season in style.

Anyone interested in a serious competition with a club atmosphere should give Superleague a go. Most clubs hold trials for Superleague in March and anyone is welcome to trial. If you are interested in trailing or finding out more about Superleague contact your local club.
